Event Organiser, Kendal Maroney, has confirmed that a Knucklehead for every year of production between 1936 to 1947 will be participating. Motorcycles will be on display at Harley City, Brunswick on Saturday 5th March 2011 between 8.30 am to 9.30 am before their departure northwards via the scenic route to Milawa.
Two motorcycles of note participating are:
- A 1942 ELA in original livery of Cruiser Green and one of only eight ELAs produced in 1942.
- A 1943 FL restored example which is one of 33 FLs produced in 1943. It has been painstakingly restored and reflects the limitations during the WW2 production period.
Beyond these two are another 33 Knuckleheads, each has its own story which will be told over the March weekend and for many years beyond. Participants are looking forward to an exciting riding and celebratory weekend and to be part of Harley Davidson in Australia folklore.
If you have an interest in Knuckleheads you should head to Harley City on Saturday 5th March 2011 from 8.30 am to see an event 75 years in the making.
